Lead engine programmer Koh Gwang-hyun talked about why Pearl Abyss started developing the next-generation engine before the full-scale announcement. The basic value that Pearl Abyss believes to be important when preparing a new game lies in ‘can we make a game quickly and efficiently’. As the quality of the game improves, more and more time, effort, manpower, and cost are required to make one game.
